Hi everybody, welcome back to another video.
This video is a product update video, and we are talking about MariaDB’s latest installation.
At Rovity, we use MariaDB as our database server, and they recently released MariaDB 10.6.4 as the stable version.
We continuously upgrade our server and all dependencies to the latest version. So we went ahead and deployed MariaDB 10.6.4.
I will show you how you can check the version number of your MariaDB server.
For that, we are going to log in to the DirectAdmin control panel.
And in the DirectAdmin control panel, I will click on the MySQL Management icon.
Here on the MySQL Management page, all your databases will be listed. You can see a + button here. Open that and then click on the Login to phpMyAdmin link.
Once the phpMyAdmin is opened, you can see the database server details. Here you can see the server version. It is MariaDB 10.6.4. The latest one.
Using the latest PHP version and the database version will give you the performance and security enhancement.
